Being a mom always looked so easy with shows like The Brady Bunch & Leave it to Beaver. Realistically, we all know its close to impossible to be like those perfect moms who never seem stressed, and keep every hair in place at the same time. But as moms, we try.
This blog was created by my best pal, Carlos. We thought for so long what to call it, and I had nothing. Then, the words “Glamorous Insanity” came to him. And I thought
“PERFECT!” It may make you raise your brows and say “What the hell?” But to me, it was as clear as a window (well, when I wash them).
Sometimes that’s exactly how I feel. Insane. Being a Stay At Home Mom can make you that way. You’re only adult interaction becomes the panel of “The View”, and you’re caught singing Dora The Explorer at a red light.
But then you have the days where you feel so lucky to be able to stay home with your child and watch them learn and grow right before your eyes. You feel loved by your little one who only wants you to tuck her in, and the words “I love you, Mama” mean more than any blank check in your name.
Glamorous Insanity is me. Although I sometimes feel overwhelmed, and think Im not great at being a mom, the good outweighs the bad. And makes it all worth it.
Even the Tantrums!
